Choosing classroom audio

Three things to check before ordering

Match the connection

Check your device’s audio port, then confirm the product supports it. Models differ in their connection options, which can include 3.5mm, USB-A, USB-C, or wireless. A USB-C charging port does not necessarily carry audio.

Decide if students need a microphone

Headphones cover listening. For speaking, recording, or communication, choose a model with a microphone and check that both audio and microphone work through your chosen connection.

Plan your classroom quantity

Count the headsets needed for each classroom, cart, or location. Check whether the listing is a single unit or a pack, or request a quote for help planning a larger order.

Koss purchasing questions

Which Koss models work best in schools?

For classroom listening on a budget, the UR5 comes singly or in a 100-pack. For testing and speaking, the CS-series headsets add a noise-canceling boom mic. Lightweight KE earbuds and KPH on-ear headphones suit one-per-student use. Koss also makes consumer favorites like the Porta Pro and wireless models, which fit staff or 1:1 programs better than shared carts.

Which Koss headset fits our devices?

Check the plug. The CS200i uses a single 3.5mm plug for Chromebooks, tablets and laptops with a combined jack. The CS95 and CS100 use two 3.5mm plugs for desktop PCs with separate headphone and mic jacks. The CS95-USB and CS200-USB plug into a USB-A port.

How do I order the right number for a classroom?

For a single-unit listing, the order quantity is the number of units you want. For a pack listing, multiply the packs ordered by the units included per pack. For example, two 100-packs contain 200 headphones. Check the specific listing before adding to your cart.

Can our school request a quote or use a purchase order?

Learning Headphones accepts school purchase orders and provides quotes for classroom quantities. Use the Request a Quote page and include your preferred models, total quantity, device connections, and purchasing requirements.

About Koss

Koss is a Milwaukee-based audio company whose SP/3, introduced in 1958, is widely credited as the first stereo headphone. Best known for consumer headphones like the Porta Pro, Koss also makes affordable, durable models that work well in classrooms: UR5 headphones in classroom packs, CS-series headsets with noise-canceling microphones, and lightweight earbuds. We carry the Koss models that fit school use alongside its classics. For shared headphones, see our headphone care guide.
