Plan your classroom listening setup

Start with how many students will listen together and the audio source you use, then check the equipment included in each listing.

Choose your group size

Compare the number of listening positions and headphones supplied. Check whether extra listeners can be added and what additional equipment is required.

Check the audio source

Confirm support for your device output or media format. Review source inputs, headphone connections, and stereo or mono requirements for the selected system.

Review included equipment

Check for headphones, a jackbox or transmitter, a media player, cables, power supplies, and storage. A case or accessory listing is not a complete listening center.

Classroom listening centers FAQ

What is a classroom listening center?

A listening center lets a group hear shared audio. Depending on the system, it can use wired headphones and a jackbox or wireless headphones and a transmitter. Review each listing for the actual components and supported number of listeners.

Does every listing include a media player and headphones?

No. This collection includes sets and accessories. Check the included equipment before ordering; a case, jackbox, or other component may be sold separately. Confirm whether you need to supply your own audio source.

Can we connect a Chromebook, tablet, or laptop?

Check the system input and your device audio output. You may need a compatible audio adapter or cable. Test the complete setup with your learning content before buying equipment for multiple classrooms.

How do wired and wireless systems differ?

Wired systems connect headphones through cables, often using a jackbox. Wireless systems use a supported transmitter and receivers or headphones. Review range, power requirements, charging or batteries, and expansion options for the selected model. A Bluetooth-enabled media player does not necessarily mean the supplied headphones are wireless.

Can students listen to different lessons at the same time?

A shared-source system typically sends the same audio to its connected listeners. Separate lessons require a setup that supports independent sources or channels. Check the selected model rather than assuming each listening position has independent playback.

Can our school request a quote and use a purchase order?

Yes. Learning Headphones accepts purchase orders from schools and districts. Share group sizes, audio sources, room needs, and the equipment you already have through the quote page.
